Why per-interaction AI pricing matters
Merchants in Shopify App Store reviews and on Reddit repeatedly describe Gorgias costs rising with usage, especially once AI automation is on. A store that automates 2,000 replies a month at $0.90 pays about $1,800 for AI alone.
Rebutdesk does not meter AI. Self-hosted installs call your own OpenAI-compatible endpoint, so you pay the model provider's token price, usually cents per conversation.

There is no importer yet. New conversations can start in Rebutdesk while past tickets stay in Gorgias.
Is Rebutdesk only for Shopify stores?
No. It is built for sellers who take payments through Stripe and PayPal on any platform, including custom checkouts, funnels and course platforms.
